Лесной храм на вершине Дой Тунг

Дой Тунг - "флаговая гора". Здесь была стоянка короля Менграя (1239-1311). Храм основан в 911 to store relics of Buddha's left shoulder. Later, more relics were added, therefore there are two chedi's here. It is a very popular place of worship and very crowded, specially the parking area is creating Bangkok-style traffic situations. For those who want to avoid the "parking jam" I can recommend walking the last bit up the hill through rows of bronze bells, which line the way.
